iPodimonium

I've been thinking about trading up my Sony netMD for a 6GB iPod mini. Anyone have any thoughts? I like that I can store 1500 songs on it, which in turn will last about 2 weeks at work, instead of listening to the same 4 - 5 albums 3 times a day like I do right now. I've also just started reading about Podcasting. Is it worth it to grab any of these? They may be entertaining, I suppose, but I'm not sure I see the point. Anyone know if it's useful? Anyway, just throwing it out there to see if there's a consensus on it.
