So I'm sick. Really sick. In the 16 months or so that I've been at my job I haven't taken a sick day yet - until today. It's funny how I feel guilty about it too. I shouldn't. I've gone to work with a few colds but this one has knocked me silly :(
One good thing about being sick is I get to watch movies. Yesterday after work I watched MIB, MIIB, The Mummy, and the Mummy II. I know what you're thinking, I've seen them all a bunch of times. The thing is, after you buy a 51" WS TV, it's such a different experience watching them again. I think today holds some Tiger Woods 2005 on the XBOX. Sounds fun doesn't it?
Two nights ago I watched a movie called A Dirty Shame. Now, I don't know quite what to say about it, so I won't, except: "Let's Go Sexing!" Tracey Ullman and that water bottle will stick in my mind forever. Avoidable at best. To forget it was ever written, even better.

Missy Elliot
So I download music. Wait, I download a lot of music. I give things a listen and then they're forgotten forever unless they're really good. If they are, then I'll go out and buy the album. The last System of a Down, Sum 41, Green Day, and Tegan and Sarah were by far worth the money. So I thought maybe I'd comment on the new Missy album -- The Cookbook. While I'm not a huge Missy fan, I did think her last album was quite innovative and interesting. Well, I tried to give this newest one a listen to today and I don't know if it was how my day was going or what, but I thought it was horrible. Coming from me this is going to sound weird... I thought the vulgurness was beyond appropriate. Now, those who know me and the music I listen to will surely know there may be a swear word or two going into my ears, but that wasn't it. It was the context of the words that really bothered me. Whatever. Anyway, not thrilled and I wouldn't buy it. If you do want to, it'll be out in stores on July 5th.
While we're on a role...
Okay, so while we're on a role... 2 nights ago I watched another movie called Millions. Now, usually I thoroughly enjoy movies made in England. Maybe it's because I like the accents, maybe it's the scenery, maybe it's because I was an English peasant in another life and it brings me back, I don't know. Having two kids, I can sit through most G rated garbage, but, of course, this was just too much. A kid finding over £200,000 a week before the Euro takes over and the Saints that visit him to tell him how to spend the money was just a bit too much. Okay, it was way too much. I don't know what the ~1400 people on IMDB were thinking when they gave it a 7.7/10. Try to avoid this one unless your kids are about 8. -- 5.5/10
7 Seconds
So last night I watched a movie called 7 Seconds with Wesley Snipes. Apparently it went straight to video and it's easy to see why. Wow, what a movie! Bad camera angles, bad acting (I didn't think Wesley was that bad of an actor until now), and extremely bad editing. How hard is it to transition gracefully between scenes? Even I can do it better in Premiere with my limited experience. If you have nothing to watch and feel the need to torture yourself for a few hours, please, feel free. -- 4/10
